Medical Degree (MD) Program
NYU School of Medicine's MD program trains physician-scientists through medical education, scientific research, and patient care.
Graduate Degree (Ph.D.)
The NYU Sackler Institute offers a PhD program with interdisciplinary training in the basic medical sciences: Biomedical Imaging, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, Developmental Genetics, Medical and Molecular Parasitology, Microbiology, Molecular Oncology and Immunology, Molecular Pharmacology, Neuroscience and Physiology, Pathobiology, or Structural Biology.
MD/PhD Combined Degree
The NYU Medical Scientist Training Program provides training to apply scientific methodology to the study of the medical problems. MD-PhD students meet all the academic requirements for both the MD and PhD degrees.
Graduate Program in Environmental Health Sciences
The NYU master of science (MS) and PhD in Environmental Health Sciences programs prepare scientists for research careers and professional service, offering interdisciplinary training programs in biostatistics, epidemiology, ergonomics and biomechanics, exposure assessment, molecular toxicology/carcinogenesis and toxicology.
Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation
The NYU MS in Clinical Investigation is intended for physicians interested in a career in population-based, public health research (disease prevention, health promotion, and preparedness in urban communities) or translational medicine (linking laboratory discoveries to clinical applications).
Masters of Science in Medical Education
The NYU MS in Medical Education prepares physicians for careers as academic Clinician-Educator-Scholars through didactic training in medical education and research methods, and mentored education research. The degree is offered by the NYU School of Medicine in collaboration with the NYU Steinhardt School of Education.
Continuing Medical Education
NYU School of Medicine's Continuing Medical Education Program offers access to continuing medical education courses, Podcasting, and grand rounds.
Residency and Fellowship Programs
NYU School of Medicine offers residency and fellowship training in a broad range of clinical specialties. Application for residency is directed to the department involved.
