To be considered for admission to the NYU Langone Health Pharmacy Technician Training Program, applicants must provide the following information:

• a completed application, including a personal essay
• a high school transcript or GED with scores; all foreign credentials must come directly from a recognized evaluation agency
• two references from employers or teachers, past or current

Once the above criteria are met, selected applicants meet with members of the admission committee. During the interview, applicants take two exams, one in basic mathematics and one in grammar and vocabulary.

All applicants must obtain medical clearance and undergo a background check. Individuals currently employed by NYU Langone must submit their most recent annual performance evaluation.

Program Costs

There is currently no charge for the program, but you are required to purchase Pharmacy Technician Certification Review and Practice Exam, fourth edition. You must obtain the hard copy textbook and not an ebook.

You are also required to pay a registration fee to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) once you have completed the program. Learn more about the PTCE, including requirements and fees.
